I got on 6 in the fall of 2001 with an IC-706 and a dipole. Later built a 3
element beam and stuck it on the chimney. The sunspot cycle was a little past
its peak but made WAC and worked 48 countries in the last 4 months of 2001 with
that station. Added 18 more in 2002 as the cycle began to turn down. Different
rig, more power, and more aluminum now but stuck at 82.

 At this stage of the game, we are just playing with multi-hop eskip openings. I
picked up a couple of new ones out of Europe last summer on eskip but and
waiting on the sun to bring us some more F2 openings.
